Beyond The Bend
Beyond the Bend is a Pilates program designed specifically for the Hypermobile body. I know first-hand how difficult it can be to live with hypermobility and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS). Pain, fatigue, and brain fog are just a few of the symptoms that are common with this condition.
If you are hypermobile or living with EDS, exercise can be very beneficial - but only when done correctly. Since your joints are more unstable and your tissues may be more fragile, the wrong type of movement can put you at risk of injury, pain flare-ups, or long-term joint problems.
Working with a knowledgeable physical therapist, healthcare professional, or movement instructor who understands hypermobility is essential. They can guide you in strengthening the correct muscles, protecting your joints, improving stability, and building endurance safely. Proper technique and pacing are key.
